Milton Morrow

A lifelong resident of Dallas County, AL, Milton Morrow died on Friday, January 13, 2012, at home. He was born on May 16, 1909, to Milton Edward and Mary Bradford Morrow, the fifth child of five sons and two daughters. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Edith Friday.
He is survived by two sons, James Milton (Martha) and William Douglas (Myrna) Morrow of Selma, AL; granddaughters Paige Morrow (John) Malesh of Murfreesboro, TN, and Alison Morrow (Joey) Smith of Franklin, TN; grandson James Milton (Loren) Morrow, Jr. of Selma, AL; great-grandchildren John Malesh III, and Lee Malesh of Murfreesboro, TN, Bradford Smith of Franklin, TN, and Emily Morrow of Selma, AL.
Beloved by all who knew him, Milton Morrow was employed for over 30 years by the Department of Agriculture, in the Dallas County ASCS office. He was a farmer, cattleman and raised timber; and an avid gardener until age 100. He was a faithful member of the Houston Park Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years. The funeral service will be held at Houston Park Church of Christ, Selma, on Monday, January 16, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Tom McLemore officiating and burial to follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6 PM.
Serving as pallbearers are: Russell Morrow, Jr., Hooper Morrow, Jr., Dorsey Morrow, Dorsey Morrow, Jr., Robert E. Morrow, John Morrow and Bradford Morrow.
The family is most grateful for the excellent care given by Dr. Caldwell Debardeleben, Dr. Park Chittom, Sr., Dr. Park Chittom, Jr. and his very special caregivers Hattie Cherry and Leonard Lewis. The family requests no flowers; memorials may be made to the Houston Park Church of Christ.
