Mr. Walter Blevins, 65, resident of Jones, Alabama, passed away December 25, 2011 in Jones. Services are scheduled for December 31, 2011, 12 noon at Tabernacle of Praise officiated by Elder James Jackson. Burial will follow in Blevins Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

He was preceded in death by brother James Blevins; sister, Ella Mae Turner.

Survivors include spouse Linda Blevins; son, Walter Blevins, Jr.; five daughters, Lynette V. Blevins, Shelia A. Fulford, Pamela B. Moore, Priscilla Furlow, and Tasha L.B. Purifoy;  brothers, Grant Blevins, Conley Blevins,  Andrew Blevins, and Arthur Blevins; sisters Betty Taylor, Pearlie Rose, Alberta Jackson, Alice Hayes, Barbara Smith, and Dorothy Lewis;  eleven grandchildren, three sons-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, two brothers-in-laws, seven sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
