Evanglist Taylor, Jr., 72, resident of Valley Grande, AL., passed away December 18, 2011 in Selma. Services are scheduled for December 31, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Booker T. Booker, Jr. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by spouse, Joan Taylor; parents Evanglist and Florence Taylor.

He is survived by  son Evanglist C. Taylor III; five brothers, Ocie Taylor, John Henry Taylor, Joh Wesley Taylor, Emmett Taylor, and Lee Ernest Taylor; three sisters, Lee Ester Robinson, Queen Ester Ramsey, and Martha Ann Reed. Pallbearers will be Morning Star Baptist Church deacons and brotherhood.
