Deacon Borzie Nelson, Sr., 95, resident of Selma, passed away December 6, 2011 at his home. Services are scheduled for December 10, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at East Salem Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Willie J. Brown. Burial will follow in churchyard cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include two sons, Borzie Nelson, Jr. and Kenneth Nelson; three daughters, Carolyn Davis, Colleen Dixon, and Daphane Shannon; nineteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, three sons-in-laws, two daughters-in-laws, two brothers-in-laws, three sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
