Eleanor Butler

Eleanor Mae Mitchell Butler, 93, was born on August 26, 1918, in Sprott, AL.  She passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011, in Melbourne, FL.  She was happily married almost 60 years to Harris Dawson Butler, who predeceased her.

She traveled the U.S. and Germany as a proud U.S. Air Force wife.  Also serving as a “Rosy the Riveter”, for several years at Craig Field, Selma, AL and in San Diego, CA.

She leaves behind one daughter, Linda Liebau and her husband Karl Liebau, of Melbourne, FL; two granddaughters, Cameo Ellis, and her husband Steve Ellis of Urbana, IL; and Krystal Parker, and her husband Anthony Parker of Orlando, FL;  five great grandchildren, Kimberly, Rachel and Brandon Ellis, and Isiah and Michael Parker.

She was third oldest of eleven children, predeceased by 9 siblings.  Surviving are Allen Mitchell and Julius Mitchell of Selma, AL, and Jane Mycoskie, of Akron, OH.  Also, leaving a large family of loving relatives and friends.

A chapel service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 26, 2011 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with burial following at Mount Olive Cemetery. The family  received friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6-8 p.m.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Indian River Center, Melbourne, FL, who treated her with respect and great loving care.
