Mr. Rassmon Tyus, 61, resident of Plantersville, Alabama, passed away November 6, 2011 at Prattville Baptist. Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Sam Tyus. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse Ella M. Tyus; mother, Adeline Tyus; two sons, Rassmon McCary and Teddy McCary; four daughters, Yolanda Tyus, Demetria Jackson, Kimberly Williams, and DeAngela Tyus; six brothers, Freddie Tyus, Sham Tyus, Albert Tyus, Embrick Tyus, Edward Tyus, and Tyrone Tyus; three sisters, Sarah Mills, Shirley Alexander, and Eliza Simon; fourteen grandchildren, two sons-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, two brothers-in-laws, five sisters-in-laws, and a host of nieces and nephews.
