Dewey Lee Headley, 81, of Selma passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011.

Mr. Headley was preceded in death by his wife: Clara Nell Headley; grand-daughter: Jennifer Heath; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Surviving relatives include his son: Terry Headley (Marie) of Valley Grande; daughters: Ann Heath (Mike) of Valley Grande, Joyce Bearden (Jimmy) of Selma; brothers: E.J. Headley of Clanton, Edward Headley of Columbiana, Huey Headley of Selma; sister: Betty Ruth Hayes of Selma; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m.  on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clark Skelton, Rev. Calvin Strickland and Randy DeBrabant officiating and Ellison-Mims Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27 from 6-8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bearden, Josh Headley, Ross Bearden, Buddy Golson, Willard Sewell, and Melvin Lester. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the James Bearden Sunday School Class at Valley Grande Baptist Church.
