Nelda Lorine Rhodes Tubbs, 83, resident of Uniontown, Alabama passed away  October 15, 2011 at Trinity Medial Center in Birmingham.

She was born August 12, 1928 in Hale County to the late Jessie and Maggie McMellin Rhodes.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Uniontown Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Scott Hale. Burial will follow after the service at Rosemont Cemetery. Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel will be directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6-8 p.m.  at Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Tubbs, Lane Shook, Paul Perry, Joe McDaniel, Bobby Johnson, Nilmon Rhodes, Buck Shan, and Huitt Brunson.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Darrel Ford Tubbs; son, Darrel Nelson Tubbs.

Survivors include grandchildren, Darrel Gayle Tubbs (Carrie) of Calera, Maggie Tubbs Shook (Lane) of Hoover; great grandchild, John Ford Sertler and her daughter-in-law Sandra Gail Mezzell of Vestavia and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Uniontown Baptist Church General Fund.
