Christine Stevenson, 90, of Potters Station went to be with our Lord Wednesday evening after a brief illness at Vaughn Memorial Hospital.
Christine was born and raised in Elkton, TN but moved to Birmingham prior to WWII where she resided until moving to Potters Station in 1988. Christine, ever the outgoing person she was, developed many, many friends everywhere.
She is survived by her niece Sandra Liggett of Pulaski, TN, nephew Tim Young of Selma, nephew Bill Young of St Augustine, FL, 11 grand nieces and nephews, and 13 greatgrands. And her sister in law and friend Jane Dollar of Pulaski.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Stevenson of TN, her brother OS Dollar Jr of TN, sister and roommate Lucille Young of Potters Station, and niece Becky Young Plunkett of Montgomery.
She is a member of the Potters Station Garden Club, Pisgah Presbyterian Church and The United Methodist Church Elkton, TN.
Memorial service to be held Sunday July 31 2pm at Pisgah Presbyterian Church Potters Station.
Aunt Chris was always everyone’s favorite aunt. She was very upbeat and ready to “Meet and Eat” with all her friends anytime or place. She enjoyed a blessed life and will be missed and never forgotten by many. Praise God.
