Linda Gay Copeland Howell, age 66, of Selma, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011.

Mrs. Howell is survived by her mother, Earline Copeland; son, Matt Howell; sisters, Jo Anne Hamby and Robin Lee Jacobson.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 22, 2011, at 11:00 am, in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Burial with be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Howell served her country in the Vietnam War, where she was rewarded a Bronze Star Valor in combat.
