U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby will join the Dallas County Chamber of Commerce in an event Tuesday at noon at the St. James. The visit is part of the senator’s annual tour of all of Alabama’s 67 counties.
In a release announcing the event, Shelby is set to speak about the legislative agenda for the first session of the 112th Congress as well as “important issues facing the nation and the state of Alabama.”
Following his remarks, Shelby will open the floor to questions from those in attendance.
The event is open to the public, but reservations must be made through the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce at (334) 875-7241.
“Over the years, these meetings have provided an excellent opportunity for area residents to listen and voice their opinions on the activities of our government,” Shelby said in the release. “This will be a great chance to discuss the important issues facing our state and our nation.”
