Mary Inez “Daniels” Hobson, age 77, was born on August 1, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011. She was a resident of Albaster, AL, formally of Pensacola, FL. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She recently moved to Alabaster AL where she was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. After retiring, her favorite hobby was gardening, fishing and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grand children.

She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Specialist Jack E. Hobson U.S. Army; daughters, Laren ” Scoot” Hobson Melton, Sharon Hobson, Wanda Hobson and Mary Hobson.

She is survived by her son, Glen (Christy) Hobson, Alabaster, AL; sisters, Lucy Blackmon, Foley, AL,

Janice “Sis” Jarvis, Selma, AL, Mattie Boutwell, Grand Bay, AL; her brothers, Buddy Daniels, Selma, AL, Frank Daniels, Selma, AL; grandchildren, Christy Sison, Oklahoma City, OK, Mary Melton, Oklahoma City, OK, Jacklyn Hobson, Montevallo, AL. Dustin Melton, Oklahoma City, OK, Steven Hobson, Alabaster, AL; great-grand children, Katie Looker, Halie Sisson, Keandre Greer, Karri Meadlock Jr. all of Oklahoma City, OK.

The family will receive friends at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH, 100 Beverly Pkwy on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with graveside services at 12:30 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery with Reverend Jason Jarvis officiating.
