A Selma man died today in a two-vehicle accident on Highland Avenue near Lincoln Drive.

The accident, which claimed the life of Robert Foster, 24, occurred before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Selma police Sgt. Doug Stewart said preliminary investigations indicate one of the drivers crossed over into oncoming traffic and collided with the second vehicle head-on.

The driver of the other vehicle, Sharon Eaton, 25, was taken to Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Stewart said her injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

This is Selma’s first traffic fatality for 2011.

Stewart said the investigation is ongoing. Officer Willie Felder is in charge of the investigation.
