Forecasters say more rain on the way

The National Weather Service in Birmingham released a hazardous weather statement Monday morning, warning those who live south of a line from Tuscaloosa to Calera to Alexander City they may see tornados Tuesday.

Dallas County is in the hazardous weather statement zone.

Forecasters say the prediction of some tornados is slight right now. But “it’s still something to mention.”

The rest of the day brings a 50 percent chance of showers. Tonight, the probability for rain drops to 20 percent, but rises to 80 percent on Tuesday, according to the five-day forecast for Selma.
