Hal Lamar “Tobe” White

Hal Lamar “Tobe” White, age 79, of Moulton, AL died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 16, 2011, 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Penn and Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery directed by Peck Funeral Home. The family will see friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. White was a member of Sister Springs Baptist Church in Tyler, AL. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Danville High School in 1949 where he was active in sports. He was retired from South Central Bell Phone Co.

He is survived by his wife, Fay White, Moulton, AL; sons, Lamar White, Danville, AL, Hal White, Foley, AL; three step-sons, Hunter Lamar White, William Hal White, Jacob Hal White, and Grady Bryan White; three grand stepdaughters, Laresa Jeffers, Megan Sapp, and Merianna Morgan; one step grandson, Will Steele; three step great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matt Jones, Lee Skinner, Will Skinner, Chad Woodruff, Jeffrey Franks, Michael Walker, and Eddie Boean. There will be military honors at the graveside.
