Thank you, Angie Yeargan

I don’t know Angie Yeargan well, but I know the type of woman she is.
She breaks barriers.
She doesn’t do it with a lot of drama and drum rolls. She has broken down barriers for the last 15 years or more as the owner of a construction business.
Lest most of us women forget; construction is a man’s world for the most part.
If I were teaching again, I’d likely use Angie as a model of women can accomplish what they desire by working hard and smart and forming good alliances. They do not have to give up their nature as women or play to men to get the work done. They do it on their own accord.
Younger women might not have to endure some of the slings and arrows for entering non-traditional roles in the future because people, such as Angie, have plowed the way for them.
That’s fine.
She has style and grace — that’s evident. Through her hard work, Angie has brought positive recognition to Selma.
Thank you, Angie.
