Rodney F. Walter, 41, resident of Selma, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Berean Baptist Academy, Marion, AL, officiated by Rev. Curtis Thompson. Burial will follow in Green Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Melvin Miller Funeral Home of Marion.

Mr. Walter attended Francis Marion High School. He loved his family and he had joined the 100 Blackmen of Selma, Alabama. He was also a D.J. for several events.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. Dave and Ozella Walter; mother, Callie Rand; uncles, Howard and George Walter.

He is survived by his children, Rodney Walter, Kimborlyn Walter, LaDarrius Walter, and Chasity Walter, all of Selma, Alabama; father, William Hudson, Cleveland, OH; stepfather, Johnny Rand; brother, James Walter; sisters, Jacinta Walter, Cynthia Tutt, Cassandra Walter; aunts, Bertha Gray, and Shirley John- Johnson; aunts, Addie Holt and Clara Wright; uncles, David Walter and Elner Walter.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Norfleet, Edward Heard, Louis Kynard, Darrell Moore, Johnny Walter, Rashad Moore, and Darren Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Martin, Marvin Heard, Tony Washington, Mark Sawyer, Rowland Raspberry, Darrell Brooks, and Russell Watts.
