Time to face realities of election

The election was in November and it seems our Sen. Hank Sanders, can’t deal with the reality of what the people of our state have said. They’re tired of the way the Democratic majority handled the government and now they want change.
He didn’t seem to mind when the American people responded to a “hope and change” mantra from our President, but that same message now is not palatable.
Every opinion piece he has written seems more like “sour milk” than real response to issues.
Many voters in Alabama are thrilled with ethics reform, especially to stop government employees, including public school teachers, from being forced to give to political action committes (unions) of which they often disagree.
Nobody is being stopped from giving to unions, they’re just going to have to write the check themselves instead of having it deducted from their paycheck.
If Americas were forced to pay for everything like that, including taxes, things would change real fast. Now teachers and government union employees will have to pay their dues from what Uncle Sam leaves them.
Sen. Sanders seems to be focusing on the bad things that MIGHT happen instead of what is happening right now.
Each article is a negative, doom and gloom picture of what those evil Republicans are going to do to destroy our state, even though the last several sessions of Congress have brought us education budget cuts and ethics problems, all with a Democratic majority.
Maybe people are thinking, how can it be worse?
If the new Republican majority make a bigger mess, they’ll be the next to go and we’ll find a whole new bunch to go to Montgomery.
That’s a lesson for all our elected officials…we, the people, have had enough. Get the job done, or we’ll find someone who will.
