Leroy McCullough

Leroy McCullough, of Selma, AL, died at his home on Ocmulgee Church Road on Thursday, December 9, 2010.

Leroy was born in Marion, AL on January 20, 1945.  Mr. McCullough was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force.  He served two tours of duty in Vietnam.  He taught at Wallace Community College and Dallas County Vocational School before retiring as an auto mechanic.  Leroy was a helpful neighbor and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Lucille McCullough; son, David Matthew McCullough; daughter, Cathy Rascoe; sisters, Caroline (Wayne) Rhodes and Annie Rae (Alfred) Stone.

Surviving are his wife Anna Mae Matta McCullough; daughters, Rhonda Robinson and Pamela (Buddy) Brown; brothers, Larry McCullough; sisters, Ruth (Ray) Wood, Dot (Goodloe) Green; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Ocmulgee Baptist Church AT 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Danny Sumerlin officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service 12:30-2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Henry, Joe Davis, Herman Campbell, Ray Wood, Russell Gibbs and Mike Fox.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Ocmulgee Baptist Church, Rt. 6 Box 378, Selma, AL  36701.
