Dorothy Mae Blevins Perkins was born to the late Willie Skinner and Pearlie Mae Blevins in Orrville, AL on October 21, 1960.
Services will be held Sat., Nov. 20, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church on Summerfield Rd., officiated by Pastor J.D. Fails. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Ann and Sheila Blevins; mother-in-law, Betty Perkins; sister, Lillie B. Thomas; brother, Johnny Blevins; nephew, Michael (Popeye) Blevins.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Kenneth Perkins; two daughters, Natasha Blevins and Lateisha McGuire; a son Chris McGuire; step daughter, Konta Perkins, Detroit, MI; grandchildren, Gabrielle Blevins, Davida Hall, LaDavidous, DeQuand, and Jamarcus Hall; three sisters, Linda Blevins, Lula (Ricky) Lewis, and Connie Blevins; two brothers, Willie (Lena) Blevins, and Ledell Blevins; three step sisters, Gloria and Dorothy Jones, and Louise (Will) Irby; step-brother, Lawrence Stokes; father-in-law, McKinley Perkins, Detroit, MI; sisters-in-laws, Shirley and Lacey Perkins; brother-in-law, Carl Mealing, Washington D.C.; five aunts and three uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a devoted niece Jendale Blevins and a special friend Chreshanda Steele.
