Franklin Street from First Avenue to Philpot will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, Nov. 15.
The street will be closed for two to three weeks while sewer line construction takes place. All north and south traffic is asked to use Broad Street or Marie Foster Street during this time.
Payne School traffic is asked to enter south on Franklin Street, turn right onto Keller Avenue to Lawrence Street to Eugene Avenue back to Franklin when dropping off and picking up.
School guards along with teachers will be in place to insure the children’s safety in this area when dropping off and picking up.
