Sparks schedules Selma campaign stop

Ron Sparks, Alabama’s Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries and the Democratic nominee for Alabama governor will make a campaign stop in Selma Thursday, Oct. 28 at noon at Selma City Hall. The stop is just part of a bus tour of Alabama’s Black Belt.
Other stops on Thursday will include a stop in Hayneville at 9 a.m. at Courthouse Square a stop at the courthouse in Camden at 10:40 a.m. He also has a stop planned in Marion, after Selma, at 1:45 p.m. at the old Jitney Jungle lot.
The other stops include a rally in Greensboro, Eutaw and the tour will end with a rally in Livingston.
Sparks’ opponent in the Nov. 2 general election, Republican Dr. Robert Bentley, has yet to make a campaign stop in Selma during the campaign, but does have other stops in the Black Belt region planned for later this week.
