I love a good geek

Yep. A major confession. Just finished reading The New York Times’ story about the two Russians who won the Nobel Prize for physics. Gotta love these guys who love science, because they also love their toys and their experiments.
Both of these guys are from Russia. One was the graduate student of another (although neither looks old enough to shave). They have spent Friday nights doing experiments. Kind of goofy, if you think of it. Especially, some of the experiments.
For example, the guys levitated a frog in a magnetic field. Don’t believe me? Here’s the video:
These two guys, Andre Geim, 51, and Konstantin Novoselov, 36, won the Nobel Prize for investigating the properties of graphene, ultrathin carbon flakes.
Oh, you know how they got their first flakes? They took them off a piece of graphite with Scotch Tape.
Gotta love a good geek.
