Edith Faye Elam

Edith Faye Elam, 64, resident of Gallion, Alabama passed away September 28, 2010 at Hospice of West Alabama. Edith was born July 23, 1946 in Perry County to the late Garland and Eula Johnson Elam.

Elam was a nurse at Linden Lumber. Edith Elam was preceded in death by parents, Garland and Eula Johnson Elam; son-in-law, Marlin Long; brother, Donnie Elam.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie Zipparo Long of Demopolis; stepdaughters, Sharon Caudle of Demopolis and Danielle Jones  of Tuscaloosa; sons, David Michael Zipparo

(Stephanie) of Demopolis; sister, Louise Hill (Ray) of Marion; five grandchildren, Maggie Zipparo, Parker Zipparo, Hayden Long, Victoria McCray, and Zachary Caudle.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 1, 2010 at Heiberger Methodist Church, 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Shannon Allen officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 Friday morning.

Pallbearers will be Mark McVay, Charles Elam, Rick Davis, Ray Davis, Robert Davis, and Werdner Stroud.
