Ellwood Christian (1-3) lost to Tabernacle Christian School 52-26 Friday.

Artavius Cunningham rushed 160 yards for two touchdowns and Robert Davis rushed one touchdown and ran one kickoff return in for a touchdown.

But Ellwood fumbled seven times and could not hold Tabernacle from scoring.

“Every time we fumbled they made us pay for it,” said Mike Stokes, Ellwood head coach.

The team will continue to work at practice to prepare for next Friday’s homecoming game against Tuscaloosa Academy.

“We’re coming around,” Stokes said. “We’re a young team but I see improvement. I’ve got all the confidence in the world tat we’ll be OK
