SELMA — A local barber was killed early Friday morning after he was ejected from his vehicle during an accident.

Selma Police Sgt. Doug Stewart said Robert “Ralo” Colvin, 33, died in the one-vehicle accident.

Stewart said the accident occurred Friday about 3:15 a.m. when Colvin apparently attempted to make a right turn from the eastbound land of Highland Avenue onto the Alabama 41 bypass and lost control.

The vehicle overturned and Colvin was ejected. He was not wearing a seat belt, Stewart said.

The accident is under investigation.
