Claudia Spencer, 89, resident of Selma, Alabama formerly of Yazoo City, Mississippi passed away September 2, 2010 at Warren Manor Rehab and Nursing Home.

Services will be held at Miller Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Raymond C. Brown. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Ms. Spencer was born April 21, 1921 in Cruger, Mississippi to the late Lillie and Calvin Shine.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Lintonia Chapel A.M.E. Church in Yazoo City, Mississippi.

After moving to Selma, Alabama in 2005 she joined Providence Baptist Church, Tremont until God called her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and four brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving, dedicated and devoted son, Chris (Mary) Spencer of Selma, Alabama; two grandchildren Demarco Cox of Yazoo City, Mississippi, and Diamond Spencer of Selma, Alabama; two sisters, Lee Hudson and Laura Davis of Lexington, Mississippi; a special loving niece Jessie McCline of Lexington, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
