SELMA — Police here have arrested two teenagers as suspects in a burglary.
A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old are in the Dallas County Juvenile Detention facility. Police do not release the identities of juveniles arrested as suspects in criminal matters. Both are charged with burglary in the third degree.
Selma Police Sgt. Doug Stewart said a 36-year-old woman said as she arrived home Wednesday she noticed two males fleeing from her residence with items belonging to her.
She followed one of the suspects and notified police, Stewart said.
“Oficers set up a perimeter and spotted a male attempting to flee the area. Police gave a short foot pursuit and found the offender hiding under a home,” Stewart said.
Detective Fred Walker obtained evidence through his investigation on the second suspect, the 16-year-old, which led to the juvenile’s arrest, Stewart said.
