Another suspect arrested in burglary case

SELMA — Police here have arrested a second man and charged him with burglary in the second-degree.
Jabrid Bell, 28, is in the Dallas County Jail under a $60,000 bond.
Selma Police Sgt. Doug Stewart said the owner of a business in the 800 block o f Dallas Avenue was inside retrieving some items around 4:30 a.m. Aug. 16, when he heard voices outside. The business owner called police immediately.
“Seconds later he heard someone kicking on the door in an attempt to gain entry,” said Stewart. “The owner then opened the door and noticed two males. He was able to detain one of the two with the other fleeing on foot.”
Stewart said Bell was the suspect who ran.
Edward Kenny Morton, 20, is in the Dallas County Jail under a $60,000 bond. Morton is charged with attempted burglary in the second degree. He was arrested by police detective Tory Neely.
