Michael Dana Smith, 48, resident of Elba, Alabama passed away August 7, 2010.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, August 12, 2010, 2 p.m. at Williams Southside officiated by David Denson.

Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest directed by Williams Southside Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be Thursday, August 12, 2010, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m., family at

10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Survivors include parents, James and Linda Murfreesboro, TN; brother, James R. (Rick) Smith, Murfreesboro, TN; special friends, Weylon & Sarah Sharpless, Elba, AL, for all the love, kindness, and happiness given to Mike; niece, Emily Lloyd, UT Ogden.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Guy & Lela Lindsey, Claude and Claudia Smith.
