Mr. and Mrs. Gregory L. Thomas of Selma, Alabama announce the engagement of their daughter, LaKendria Monique Thomas to Brandon Edwin Williams.

The prospective bridgegroom is the son of Ms. Sandra Henley Williams of Mobile, Alabama and Angelo and Anita Williams of Willington, North Carolina.

Miss Lakendria Thomas is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Jane Owens and the late Percy Thomas and Alice and Eugene Thomas all of Selma.

She is a graduate of Selma High School (2004). She attended The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing.

She is presently Assistant Property Manager for Morguard Properties.

Her fiancé is the grandson of Ms. Oethelder Land and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Henley and the late Dorothy Grey.

He is a graduate of John T. Hoggard High School in Mobile, Ala. He attended The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa where he received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Commerce in Business Administration.

He is presently a financial specialist at Wachovia Bank, Mobile, Ala.

The wedding will take place Saturday August 7, 2010 at 5 p.m. at Mount Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, 120 Division Street.
