The agenda for Tuesday’s Selma City Council meeting has been released. The work session is expected to cover some of these issues on the agenda.

On topic, most interesting to the STJ are the police dog, litter and infrastructure.

On the infrastructure part — regular readers will remember when council member Susan Keith of Ward 2 proposed the U.S. military come in and help rebuild Selma’s infrastructure. After all, it’s training for the military to rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan. So far, the city hasn’t moved on the idea.

LItter is another issue everyone has talked about, but we’ve seen little progress on. Again, Keith is pushing this on the agenda.

Council president Cecil Williamson has placed the police dog on the agenda. Come to think of it, we didn’t see the K-9 corps on Sunday when an all-out search went on for two little girls. Seems like the dog would have been called out for the search.
