Bertie Mae Box, age 91, of Selma, AL, passed away June 2, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Troy Box.
Surviving are her son, William Gary Box of Eclectic, AL; daughters, Patricia Gail (Bracken) Ingram and Joyce Ann (Jimmy) Smith, both of Valley Grande, AL; sister, Ger-
line Harris (Mack) Sexton of Brilliant, AL; grandchildren, Angela Kelli Smith (Gene) Burbage of Northport, AL, Kimberly Ann Smith (Zack) Kalinauskas of Orange Beach, AL, William Erik (Scarlett) Box of Montgomery, AL, Carrie Faith Ingram Suenaga
(David Satoshi) of Tokuyama, Japan, Kristi Lynne Box (Johnny) Daughtry of Montgomery, AL, Kathryn Ashley Smith (Matthew) Griffies of Prattville, AL and William Robert Samuel Ingram of Valley Grande, AL; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Carlyle Kalinauskas of Orange Beach, AL, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Burbage of Northport, AL, Ashton Paige Box of Montgomery, AL, Christopher Ray Daughtry of Montgomery, AL, William Watters Box of Montgomery, AL, Mark Trenton Kalinauskas of Orange Beach, AL and two on the way; special former daughter-in-law, Debbie Watters Perry; many nieces and nephews and faithful sitters, Shirley W. Thomas, Lois Murray, Teresa Tindoll,
Ruthie Harris, Mary Brooks, Mary Nelson, Elaine Curb, Mary Cole, Janice Cole, Rachelle Oliver, Heather Morgan, Liz Custer and Amanda Belcher.
Funeral services will be at Houston Park Church of Christ on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Tom McLemore officiating.
Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Wheeler Chance, Doug Ferguson, Ricky Pendley, Bob Chance, Don Carter and Bill Caver. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Molette and Bobby Missildine.
The family would like to thank Cahaba Hospice, Dr. Namburu, Dr. Chittom, Dr. Freij, Vaughan Regional ER Nurses, ICU Nurses, 2nd Floor Nurses, Care Ambulance staff
and the staff of Pilcher McBryde Drug Store.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Houston Park Church of Christ, 2 Crescent Hill Drive, Selma, AL 36701, in memory of Bertie Mae Box.
