MOSSES — An advertisement about beer sales resulted in the arrest of the owner of The Spot here.

Geraldine Grant, the establishment’s owner, was charged with selling alcohol without a license on May 2 at The Spot.

Authorities from Mosses and Hauneville took Grant and Kari Harris into custody. Authorities confiscated numerous containers of beer and multiple coolers.

Grant said she had no knowledge of the advertisement and no alcohol had been served on the premises before her arrest.

“We responded to the scene after reports of a beer bash taking place at The Spot,” said Mosses Police Chief Ben Harris. “No money or drugs were confiscated.”
