Mary Holcomb Slagel went to be with Our Lord on 5 May, 2010, after a year long battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her brother Robert A. Holcomb, her sister Ann Holcomb Bushnell, her daughter Martha Slagel Elterich, and her son Michael W. Slagel along with six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was born on July 16, 1914, and has been a part time resident of Selma for 37 years. She was a member of The Cathedral of Christ the King, Charismatic Episcopal Church. Please do not send flowers.
