BIRMINGHAM— UAB has announced Jocelyn Shaw plans to transfer to the Birmingham-based university from Alabama.

Shaw is a former LeFlore basketball standout. She has spent a single season with the Crimson Tide where she appeared in thee games.

At LeFlore she was a senior when the Lady Rattlers won the Class 5A state championship and Shaw was named the MVP for that division. In her senior year she averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds a game.

She is a 6-0 forward.

Shaw will have three years of eligibility left. She can compete beginning 2011.
