Paul W. Oliver, age 77, of Jones, Alabama, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at home.
Graveside services will be Saturday April 17, 2010, 1:00 P.M. at Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Joesph Rembert officiating.
Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
After his retirement from NOAA he was asked and agreed to become the Bookkeeper for the Dallas County Commissioner and also worked as CO-manager of Absentee Elections.
He was preceded in death by his wife Fannye Mae Oliver.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, six sons, Paul, Jr. (Sequita), Timothy, Richard, Sr. (Rebecca), Jonathan (Barbara), Cedric (Helen), Kenneth (Chelsea); two
daughters, Betty Oliver and Mary (Michael) Palmer; eleven grandchildren, Richard Jr. (Allison), Jonathan, Jr. (Katrina), Paula, Rory, Kendric, Latasha, Latyra, Shequavia, Erica, Brandi and Kenneth, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Naomi, Jonasia, and Ja’nygal; two brothers, Joseph (Suki) Oliver and Nathaniel Oliver; two sisters, Ruth Oliver and Bessie Caldwell; one brother-in-law, Henry Adger; special nieces, Mary Bogan, Doris
Wheeler, Renee Wilson; four special cousins’ Ella Mae Perkins, Amanda Perkins and Daryl Perkins; special friends, Shirley Howard &family, and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives, too many to name.
