Today is the last day to visit one of the seminars at the Selma-Dallas County Library as part of National Library Week.

Each day, the library has offered seminars on healthy eating, healthy bodies and growing healthy plants.

A representative from Four Seasons Garden will explain tips for outdoor plants and planting today at 4 p.m.

In addition, Fine Free Week will end when the library closes on Saturday. All overdue books and library items will be accepted with no penalty.

Since they are clearing fines for people, in return they are asking people to donate give to local organizations.

This year, the weekly crochet classes have made more than 150 hats to give to children at Vaughan Regional Medical Center and the patients undergoing chemotherapy at the Montgomery Cancer Center.

Even if you cannot spend an hour to listen to the seminar, at least make sure to bring back all the library books.

With no penalty, there’s no reason to hold onto them.

Plus, you can do a good deed for the community while you’re there.
