This is routine work, according to Jack Rowe, regional extension agent with the Forestry, Wildlife, Natural Resources Division of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

Pruning began April 14 and will extend through May.

Door hangers are being placed on houses on streets where the workers are pruning. These door hangers explain the scope of the work.

“alabama Power is also generously removing several trees and stumps for Selma,” Rowe said.

The trimmers are under the direction of Eric Garrett, Alabama Power Cooperative manager, who is working closely with Rowe and Selma city officials.
