ENTERPRISE, Ala. (AP) — The National Weather Service says a tornado has reportedly touched down in the Enterprise area.

Ken Gould, a meteorologist with the weather service office in Tallahassee, Fla., said an apparent tornado was reported to have touched down around 12:10 p.m. CDT Thursday.

He said the twister was spotted at the intersection of Alabama state roads 87 and 134 and that no reports of fatalities, injuries or damage had been received.

Gould said meteorologists don’t believe the suspected tornado actually hit the city of Enterprise, where eight high school students were killed by a tornado in 2007.
