James Clyde (Bill) Greene, 64, a resident of Selma passed March 11, 2010 at Southland Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 noon Saturday March
20, 2010 at Grant Chapel AME Church with Pastor Marion Brock officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Garden directed by J. H. Williams &Sons Funeral Home.
James was born Feb. 25, 1946 in Dallas County.
He was educated at Brantley High School. He was a member of Grant Chapel AME Church and had served on the Usher Board where he remained an active member until his health failed.
He was employed with Talton’s Communication for over 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Corine (Gary) Wilson of Lawrenceville, GA and Michelle (Edward) Ellis of Tuscumbia, AL; one son, Kendrick Watts of
Selma; three granddaughters, Ashley &Shawna Wilson of Lawrenceville, GA, and Tiffany Smith of Jacksonville, AL; a grandson, James D. Greene of Ft Campbell, KY; five sisters, Corine Jackson, Marie (Alfred) Eley, Margret (Willie) Cook, Nettie (Frank) Brown, and Rosie McDonald, all of Selma; three brothers, Andrew (Mary) Greene of Warrensville, OH, Herman Greene of Chicago, IL and Rev. Carl (Mary) Greene, Sr., of Selma; two stepbrothers, two stepsisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
