Roberta Fiveash

Roberta Campbell Fiveash, age 90, died Thursday, February 25, 2010, after a brief llness. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Benjamin Fiveash, Jr.
She is survived by five children, Joseph Benjamin III, and wife Maureen; Stuart and wife Becky; Michael and wife Roxie; Becky and husband Lawrence; and Steve and wife, Deanna; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister, Frances Taylor; and one brother-in-law, Virgil Fiveash. Roberta was born April 21, 1919, in Selma, Alabama.
Roberta was extremely active in the Presbyterian Women of the Church, holding many local, state and regional positions.
Outside the church, Roberta’s many interests included gardening (she was famous for her prize azaleas and camellias), bridge, and mah-jong.
An avid Braves fan, she would spend hours analyzing each game ( win or lose) with her sister via telephone.
She also spent many springs watching the Braves at spring training and countless hours glued to the TV cheering them on.
Joe and Roberta were charter members of Westminster Presbyterian Church,in Snellville, Georgia.
Memorial services were held March 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at 2208 East Main Street (Hwy. 78), Snellville, GA 30078.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in memory of Roberta C. Fiveash.
