Mildred Sorrows

Mildred Voyles Sorrows, 86, of Selma and formerly of Jefferson, Ga. passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. “Pete” Sorrow and her parents Robert and Lessie Voyles. Survivors include her sons; Walter Thomas Sorrow of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Stephen Robert Sorrow of Radford, Va. 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a niece; Helen Motes of Jefferson, Ga. and a special friend, Susie Burnside and family of Valley Grande, Al.Services will be held Sunday, February, 7 at 3:00 with a visitation beginning at 2:00 at the Lawrence Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 9 at 2:00 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Decatur, Ga. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alabama Eye Bank.
