Shirley Vaughan, 74, of Selma, Alabama died January 22, 2010 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Miller Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. J. M. McQueen. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memorial Garden under the direction of
Miller Funeral Service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter B. Moore and Rosie Mae Banks.Survivors include seven sons, Houston Vaughan, Jr. (Felisha), Freddie Fields (Evelyn), Roosevelt Fields, Johnny Vaughan (Bernadine), Anthony Vaughan (Michelle), Alfred Vaughan (Casandra), and Oscar Vaughan; one daughter, Evelyn Vaughan; five brothers, Theodis Hawkins, Jr. Lawrence Hawkins, Nathaniel Hawkins, Lorenzo Hawkins (Margaret) and Lonnie Hawkins; six sisters, Jacquelyn Coleman, Valerie Moore, Myrna Rives, Michelle Swift, Leola Perkins, and Mildred Pratcher; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; five daughters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
