The Alabama State Bar Leadership Class 5 will be providing pro bono legal services to the citizens of Selma and Dallas County. The free legal clinics will be held on Friday, Jan. 22, and Friday Feb. 5.

The volunteer lawyers will answer estate questions for those who attend and also prepare simple wills, advanced health-care directives (referred to as living wills), and powers of attorney.

The initial meeting to sign up for services will be held on Friday, Jan. 22, at 2 pm, at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library. Clients will have the opportunity to meet with attorneys and discuss the services they need.

The follow up clinic will be Friday, Feb. 5, between 10 a.m. and 3pm at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library. At that time the documents will be provided for review and signature. Should you be unable to come to the Jan. 22 meeting, the attorneys will be willing to meet with you on Feb. 5, as well, if time permits.
