Mr. Samuel Smith, 63, of Selma, Alabama, died January 5, 2010 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 1:00pm at Abundant Life officiated by Etta Weaver. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; one godson, Travis Jackson, Brooklyn, NY; one daughter, Delores J. Smith, Brooklyn, NY; five brothers, William (Margaret) Smith, Fred (Jeanette) Smith, Jasper Smith of Brooklyn, NY, Jimmy Smith, Selma, AL, and Charles (Shirley) Smith of Louisiana; four sisters, Pastor Etta (Robert) Weaver, Min. Addie Huntington, of Selma, AL, Ceola Braxton, of Virginia, and Arleah Edwards, of Brooklyn, NY; five brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
