William J. Bearden, Sr., age 74, of Selma, AL, passed away January 4, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fulton and Eula Bearden and his brother, Alfred Bearden.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Vina Bearden; sons, William J. (Lynn) Bearden, Jr. and Tracy (Bonnie) Bearden; daughters, Wanda (Kenny) Smith, Sonja Taylor and Renee (John Paul) Wilkerson; grandchildren, Alicia, Aaron, Bryan, Alex, Logan, Sarah, Austin, Kevin, Skyler, Dayton, Drew, Corey, Holland, Michael, Whitney and Will; five great-grandchildren and his 3 faithful dogs, Sassy, Gilley and Shine.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Andrews officiating. Internment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Aaron, Alex, Austin, Kevin, Drew and Corey. Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers of Valley Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant.
