Despite Brandon Battle’s 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the boys of RC Hatch, they still fell short in overtime against Wilcox 77-73.

At the end of the fourth quarter, both teams were tied at 64. Yet, Hatch couldn’t over come Wilcox’s determination at the boards and its shooting from the free throw line.

Other leading scorers for Hatch were Trence Askew with 16 points and nine rebounds; Devonté Paige with 11 points and Trenton Taylor with nine points.

Hatch is 6-3 for the season, 1-1 in the area. They will host Greene County on Friday.
