Betty Shandix Wyatt, age 78, of Montevallo, Al, went to sing with the heavenly choir on Saturday, December 12, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband William P. (Pat) Wyatt.
Mrs. Wyatt is survived by two daughters, Patricia Wyatt (Jerry) Honeycutt of Montevallo, Al; Mary Jane Wyatt (Lyn) Emfinger of Jemison, Al; and two sons, Robert E. ‘Bobby’ (Jan) Wyatt of Montevallo, Al and William M. ‘Danny’ (Rose Mary) Wyatt of Homewood, Al. Two brothers, Harry Shadix of Birmingham, Al and Frank Shadix of Panama City, Fl. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She and her husband were the owners of Time’s Printing Company of Montevallo. She attended the University of Montevallo and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Montevallo, with the funeral service at the church on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Montevallo City Cemetery. Rev. Bill Brown and Rev. Buddy Freeman officiating.
