Letha Mae Clay Smiley, age 71, of Selma, AL, died December 2, 2009
at Vaughan Regional Medical Cen-
ter. Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 1 PM at St. Paul CME Church officiated by Pastor Winston Williams. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Services.
Letha was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John and Pheonix Clay.
She is survived by her five sons, Willie Smiley, Eddie Smiley, Willie James (Cory) Smiley, Jimmie
Smiley and Ade Smiley; three daughters, Nettie Jean (Ellis Cox) Clay, Lousie Smiley and Letha and (William) Holley; six brothers, John Wilson Clay, Shawn Clay, Robert Clay, James Lee Clay, Steve Clay and Eddie Clay; four sisters, Hattie Cameal, Johnetta Brown, Carolyn Clay Wilson and Nettie Mae Craig; thirty one grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sons in law; two daughters in law; a host of nieces and nephews; a devoted and loving nephew, Steve Clay; and a loving friend, Mary Craig.
Pallbearers will include Ms. Smiley’s Grandsons and friends.
